All Things New

The resurrection was only the beginning.

The most incredible and important day in the history of the world happened the day Jesus came back from the dead to claim life not only for himself, but for everyone who would follow after him. The day of the resurrection was not the end of the story, however. In fact, it was only the beginning of something new and incredible. A new creation, with a new hope began to assert itself upon this tired and dying universe. Jesus was the firstborn, but he calls everyone to join him in the hope and the mission of this new creation.

Upcoming Sermons:

  • April 1 - A new creation and a new reality. Easter was the day the world changed, and it's still changing and Jesus is calling us to change as well.
  • April 8 - A new community and a new identity. Part of the new creation found in Jesus is the new community he established in which we find a new identity to go with our new hope.
  • April 15 - A new way of seeing. There are so many ways we segregate and compartmentalize our world. In his new creation, Jesus calls us to see the world and those around us differently. It stands to reason, a new way of being requires a new way of seeing.
  • April 22 - A new creation of love and not judgment. Judgment belongs to God. In his new creation he's told us we have nothing to fear from judgment because love has won the victory over judgment. Now he calls us to live out this new reality in our community.
  • April 29 - All things for all people. As part of the new creation we have a mission, to spread this new creation to the ends of the world. In order to do that we need a new way of interacting with the world around us.
